1. Introduction
YAHWEH Loves You Daily (Android package com.yahwehlovesyoudaily.app) is an Android app that provides daily Scripture from the World English Bible (WEB), scenic Scripture artwork, the ability to save Scriptures, share them, set them as wallpaper, and optionally show them on the lock screen.
This policy explains what information is handled when you use the app, and who handles it. In short: the app does not require an account or a sign-in, the content you create is stored on your own device, and the app includes one advertising service provided by a third party, Google AdMob.
2. Information Stored on Your Device by the App
The app does not require you to create an account or sign in, and it does not collect your name, email address, or any other directly identifying information you type in.
The following is stored locally on your device, so that the app can work as you use it:
- Your app preferences and personalization choices.
- The Scriptures you save, and related app content such as your daily history.
- Your wallpaper and lock-screen Scripture settings, and the daily rotation state the app uses to choose today’s Scripture and artwork.
This information stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us by the app.
3. Android Permissions and Features Used
As applicable, the app uses the following Android features and permissions:
- Notifications — to deliver the daily Scripture reminder.
- Setting wallpaper — for the wallpaper feature.
- Restore after device restart or system changes — so that scheduled daily notifications and lock-screen updates are rescheduled after a restart, an app update, or a time or time-zone change.
The app does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, or general photo/file storage.
4. Advertising and Google AdMob (Third-Party Service Provider)
The app contains a single Google AdMob banner advertisement. The banner appears once, on the main Daily Scripture / home screen.
The banner is not placed on the Open Scripture page, Saved Scriptures, Settings, wallpaper or lock-screen output, shared images, print output, or generated Scripture artwork.
The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and does not contain interstitial, rewarded, app-open, or native ad formats.
5. Information the Google Mobile Ads SDK May Collect
According to Google’s published data-disclosure information for the Mobile Ads SDK, the SDK may automatically collect and share information such as:
- The device’s IP address, which may be used to estimate a general location.
- User interactions with ads and with in-app surfaces that may be used for advertising.
- Diagnostic and performance information.
- Device and/or account identifiers.
Google states that this information may be used for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention and security purposes, and that it is encrypted in transit.
That processing is carried out by Google as a third party, not by the app. Google’s handling of this information is governed by Google’s own privacy policies and terms, including:
- Google Privacy Policy
- Google advertising and ad technology
- Google Terms of Service
- Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure
For clarity: this policy does not state that the app serves only personalized ads, nor that it serves only non-personalized ads, and it does not state that any particular device or advertising identifier is disabled or absent. How ads are selected and which identifiers are used is determined by the advertising SDK, the configuration of the ad request, the advertising choices available to you, and applicable law. The same applies to any consent or privacy message that Google may present to you in connection with ads.
6. Purposes of Processing
Locally stored information is used to provide the features you choose to use: showing today’s Scripture and artwork, remembering your choices, letting you save and share Scriptures, and producing wallpaper or lock-screen output.
Information processed by Google is used for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention and security, as described in Google’s own documentation.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
The app content and preferences stored on your device are not shared with third parties by the app.
As described above, information may be processed by Google through the advertising SDK. Additional third parties involved in distributing the app or in delivering content you choose to open may process information under their own policies.
8. Data Security
Because the app’s own information is stored on your device, its protection depends on the security settings of your device and your user profile.
Information processed by the advertising SDK is handled by Google, which states that it is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
For information stored by the app on your device: clearing the app’s data in your Android device settings, or uninstalling the app, removes that locally stored information from the device. If you have Android backup or device-transfer features enabled, a copy may be retained in your device backup; that copy is governed by your device and Android settings, and you can manage it there.
For information processed by Google through the advertising SDK: clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app does not remove information that Google may have already processed independently. That information is handled under Google’s own policies and retention practices. You can review and manage your choices through the tools and settings described in the Google links in section 5.
10. Children’s Privacy
We take care in designing and building the app so that it is suitable for a broad audience. The app does not require an account, and it does not ask anyone for names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information.
Because the app displays advertising provided by Google AdMob, advertising may be shown to children who use the app. This policy does not claim that the app is directed specifically to children, nor that it participates in any family or children’s program. Parents and guardians who want to understand advertising and children’s privacy online are encouraged to read Google’s policies linked in section 5.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us using the details in section 13.
11. External Links and Other Services
The app and this website may contain links to other websites or services, such as the Google Play Store. Once you follow an external link, you are on a third-party site or service, and that destination is governed by its own privacy policy and terms. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any third party.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the app’s features change or if requirements change. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Your continued use of the app after an update means that the revised policy applies to that use.
